What kind of hair straightener should I get?

I have had SO many hair straighteners in the past. I've had two CHI's and a few others, but they seem to keep my hair straight for an hour or two then it gets wavy. I live in Louisiana so it is humid all the time, but I see girls all the time with perfectly straight hair. My hair is thick but it isn't frizzy or curly .. will someone help me PLEASE. Also if there are some hair products that work please let me know too.

GHD straightener

If your willing to pay a couple of hundred for it

its EXCELLENT unless you have a shower it stays for days.

Go to a beauty shop and ask if they have any spray or something to help with the humidity

Try conair's 1" professional ceramic straightener and Salon Straight's line of products. They all work great. You can get them at www.youravon.com/tonettelee.

revlon makes a straightener that is as good as chi but it isnt as expensive. to me though it sounds like you need a moisture blocking serum. the humidity is making your hair frizz, not the straightener.

One word- SEDU.

What kind of hair straightener should I get?

I think that GHDs are the best type of straighteners, the straightening effect lasts and so do the straighteners! Hope this helps!

Well there are actually several ceramic irons that will fight humidity. They range from $60 %26amp;%26amp; up. The girls whose hair stays super straight might have relaxers or their hair type might be completely different than yours. But try an anti-frizz cream(I use V05 smoothing creme), not 2 heavy, %26amp;%26amp; try not to straighten your hair %26amp;%26amp; go right outside. Wrap it up for a few or before you go to sleep. Then unwrap it before you leave the house!
