Should i get a new straightener?

ok, rite now i have a conair flat iron, and its a wet to dry one (but i never use it on wet hair) and i've been using it since october. i think my hair is ok, but i wanna know if i've been frying it by using such a cheap brand. is is better for ur hair if u go for the salon brands like CHI and Sedu?? i kno my friend has a CHI and her hair is PERFECT all the time. my hair is rly light blonde, but when i use the straightener it comes out kinda dull, and it never straightenes all the way - i have a lot of fly-aways. idk if this is just becuase im not spending enough time styling my hair - or im not using good enough products (rite now im using Nexxus), or its it rly the STRAIGHTENER thats frying my hair?? is it worth it to buy a flat iron thats more than 100 bucks? i kno that i dun wanna irreprably damage my hair, and i dont want it to lose its natural texture - it dun straighten every day. is there a flat iron that can do this????????? THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i had a conair straightner and it was really cheap and wasn't good at all. I dont think the brand however hurts your hair anymore than a CHI does because i've heard some bad things about CHIs. If you're like me I have a hard time getting my hair to look good and even after straightening it becomes frizzy and kind of dry looking. There are just certain people who can straighten their hair amazingly but I think they take a long time on their hair. If you want your hair to look a bit better you should maybe invest in a better straightner...i no there is some $80 good straightners out there. Hope that helped!

I got mine at a beauty supply shop it was about $45 ceramic is best, I also noticed the good one doesnt pull my hair, also you should use products on your hair for straightening, I use a glosser and a straightning mousse, plus a thermal protecting spray you spray on when you straighten. and dont straighten all the time, I use a big round brush to straighten during the week, and only flat iron when I am out on the town...

just make sure bfore u use heat protectant spray and ur hair is fully dry before using it. an CHI is good too, tho and it works faster. i also saw tha andis at walmart for 15$. soo yea..also for shampoo use the pantene ice shine, it smells good and makes that shiny look in ur hair. fter u finish no matter wut straightener u use, put CHI silk infusion in ur hair
