i wanna know if i should change my flat iron....i use a toni %26amp; guy http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/pa... whish just cost 19 pounds ..it gets my hair straight

but after reading all this hyp about chi flat irons i feel like buying it...

but before tht i would like to know ur opinion as chi straightners are expensive (around 100 pounds)...

also could anyone lemme know where i can get the product in uk as in a retail store and not online...

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

YES it is really the best. recommended and used by users and professionals alike. it is ceramic and protects ur hair but is really fast and good ihave one. you can buy one in Ulta but iono if you have one in the UK. YOU HAVE TO BUY ONE!!! its so worth it. but use the CHI serum that goes with it to protect ur hair.

Chi is awesome. I have had mine for 3 years and still works fantastic. It is super fast.

i haven't tried the sedu, ghd, or any of the other more "high-end" straighteners. my hairstylist uses chi on me and it's amazing, my hair is damaged from previous cheap irons and Chi's really good. I'm not sure if it breaks easily though, thats what people say.

it gets really hot and steamy but does a GREAT job even on fried hair, it makes it smoother.and the plates don't snag your hair like all conairs do

to answers your question, in the product description it said "tourmaline and ceramic coating" usually the coating wears off.
