what's so good about it? i keep hearing how straight it makes your hair.. but what kinds of features does it offer?
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
I personally don't think it's really that great. The CHI does make your hair straight and it can also curl it. However, it fries your hair like crazy, and you can't change the temperature on it because..well..it only has one. It gets very hot, and you definitely need to use a heat protector when you use it. However, there have been many complaints of the CHI breaking. Not all break, but the ones that do break usually break in 6 months to an year. Not due to droppings; it just breaks, for instance, the cord will detach itself or the iron will stop getting as hot

It does something with the ions in the hair, where it seals them off %26amp; it makes your hair shiny. My cousin is a hairstylist %26amp; when she uses the CHI iron on my hair, it feels like she has cut off half of my original hair volume. Its amazing b/c my hair is so naturally thick. I love my CHI.

I honestly will tell you it is the commission the stylist/ salon is going to make. I'm a hairdresser who bought a $50 ceramic that heats in 60 secs works just as well as a chi or paul michell iron---- I have used them all!
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
Not a lot of features. Mine is either off or on, but when it's on, it's fantastic. It is definitely a great investment. It will make almost any type of hair straight and smooth, and it will keep it straight and smooth. I have naturally curly hair and no one would ever know it.
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
CHI's aren't that good.
They break very easily.
It is a good straightener, though, but definitely NOT the best.
There is no heat setting, so you cant change the temperature.
But on a Sedu, you can. They straighten your hair MUCH better than a CHI.
It was named the #1 flat iron!
It also damages you're hair much less than a CHI.
CHI's are known to fry your hair.
So buy a Sedu.
They cost less, but are $100
Just buy one on folica.com, just search "Sedu" and click on the FIRST one.
If you want to purchase the new Sedu Revolution, you can. But it has the same kind of technoligy, so I doubt it would be that different.
SO BUY A SEDU!
It straightens your hair MUCH better and makes your hair silky and smooth!
VERY NICE!
haha.
BUY A SEDU !
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
Well I have had my CHI straightner for about 3 1/2 years and i straighten my hair pretty much everyday. For awhile there I was buying those walmart type straighteners, the conair and revolon, etc.. and about every 2-3 months they would burn out..and there about 20 bucks a pop, plus they really damaged my hair, so I invested on a top quality one. And its id say one of the best things ive bought and done for my hair! lets see features...i have the chi turbo...the smaller one so its like 1" plate. it goes from 176-356 degrees i keep it somewhere in the 200's. Its cord is 9 ft long, which does actually come in handy, the cord swivels...hmmm its easy to use. I straighten my hair in maybe 10-15 mins and i have medium length hair that is fine but curly/wavy, and is pron to damage. I would really recommend it!
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
well, i used to use a rlly cheap straightener, and it left my hair really really frizzy. But straight. My mom got me a chi and i was so surprised at how much better it worked. I heard it like does something to the ions in your hair that causes it to be less frizzy. Talk to your hairdresser about it, becuase most salons sell really really good CHI straighteners. Believe me, its well well well worth it.
Glad to help

What's so good about CHI straighteners?
I freaking LOVE my CHI!! If you can afford it, it's the best.
Interesting features of CHI flat irons:
* all have a 10 foot power cord
* the power cord has a 360 degree swivel to prevent tangles
* they all use only 20 to 25 watts of power which is amazing considering they are basically a heating element in a plastic housing
* they heat up in under 1 minute (some people report in under 10 seconds)
* the ceramic plates maintain an even heat
* can both straighten and add curls, waves and flips (You probably needs to practice for that a little bit!)
I'm not sure which model you are looking at now, as they have a couple different, but the basic 1 inch is the best. The only con I have with this flat iron though, is that it does have one fixed temperature between 302-356 F.
The "science-y" facts about the ceramic plates is that they have been shown to release negative ions. These ions break apart bigger water droplets in your hair into very tiny particles. This helps ensure even moisture balance. It also reduces static which is a major cause of the nasty frizz. Another way to prevent this is to use a heat protectant spray or serum. The one CHI makes is actually pretty nice. This will create the buffer between your hair and the hot iron so it won't dry out your hair too quickly. A lot of people say that they get that steam, that is the product in your hair, not your hair lol. Good luck in your search and I hope this helped!
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
lol wow there's nothing good about the chi
it breaks on you within a year and it's cheaply made and it had no heat control what so ever the chi is not a good buy
What's so good about CHI straighteners?
Chi's do not last long. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.
To purcase a Sedu at the cheapest price, go to Folica.com , scroll to the very top and click on Hair Styling. On the left hand side, there will be and A - Z brand list. Find Sedu, click on it, and everything else from there is self - explanitory.
For more information on a Sedu, you can go to sedubeauty.com.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.
Hope I helped, Merry Christmas!
