Please don't tell me to get a CHI or GHD XD
I can't afford that kind of stuff
Looking for something that'll heat up around 390 degrees, straightens well and is durable. Also, I need to be able to purchase in Canada, no onlines : (
So far, looking at a BaByliss one that hits 60, anyone know of a better one? BaByliss a good brand to go with?
Also, I want it between 1 - 2 inches : )
ThankYou!

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.
In terms of performance:
The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands
Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,
Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss
Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore.

The Andis 1 inch flat iron is pretty good...and cheap! About $25 at Walmart.

BaByliss is a very good name in hair straighteners. My stylist recommended it. But I couldn't find a model under $100 at the time. I was looking for 100% ceramic plates; not just ceramic-coated, actual full ceramic plates.
I found one from Conair at Walmart for $60. I don't straighten my hair that often, but it works well. I have had it for 2 months and am satisfied with the performance. Definitely not the best ones out there. Does not even get close (as my stylist puts it!). But am satisfied given the money I spent on it and the results I get.
One thing I'd really, really urge you to do is get 100% ceramic plates. You don't know how huge a favor you'd be doing to your hair.
