My straightener sucks.?

I have a CHI hair straightener. I take over 40 min. everyday to straighten my hair. It gets curly in like 1 hour. How do i make it stay. %26amp; also, when its humid out. My hair doesnt last more than 10 min. I have tried Garnier Fructis humidity spray but it doesnt help. What are good products to use.

I've always had a similar problem, what you may want to try is using hairspray. separate your hair into layers before you straighten it. before you straighten each layer put a good ammount of hairspray into the section your about to straighten it. this if the only way my hair will stay straight. but, you have to clean it often so hair product doesn't build up on it. to clean it make sure it is totally cooled off, because liquids on warm metal cause the metal to disform, then clean it with rubbing alcohol with a q-tip. take a cloth that is just barley damp with water and then just rub of the remaining rubbing alcohol. next time you use the straightener just make sure you leave it on high for a few minutes to burn off any things that was left on it from cleaning it.

as for products just make sure you use some heat protectant spray i use the sedu one and you should use the product that your hair takes to go to seventeen.com go under hair and it helped me so much like it will say how to stay straight and there are a ton of different ideas@ =]]

when my hair is still wet, i spray crazysleek and styltini tipsy by got2be. they keep my hair really sleek and protects my hair from the heat of the straightening iron/ hair dryer. and it smells really good haha
