I like the 2 inch since my hair is long. but although i dont know if it will work well when i try to curl my hair so i thought that the 1 inch would make that job easier.

I would suggest for you to get a 2 inch. That is because you have long hair and it will work a LOT faster!! :)

it will save you a lot of time as well. If you get a 2 inch it should do the same as far as curling.

me, one inch cuz i havv one and it is true, it is easier 2 curl ur hair with a one inch straightener. even though it takes longer to straighten ur hair but itz better for a one inch so that it looks nice if u curl ur hair

Can I buy a SEDU Hair straightener at a store instead of online?

My Chi does an ok job at straightening my hair, except for the whole taking a 2 hours chunk of time to get through it all. I'm looking at a SEDU in hopes that it will cut down straightening time and do less damage, because even though I have a tong of thick tightly curled hair, its deceptively sensative and fragile (which is a pain in the ***).

I saw the SEDU online and I don't want to wait for it in the mail, so, are there any stores that carry or even know about this product?

As a hairdresser, I would only buy a professional one from a salon. They are higher quality and are made to last longer. It is worth the money. Babyliss is a good brand. All my irons and straighteners are Babyliss and I have never had any problems. They are less expensive than CHI.

get a good salonquality one, maybe even ask your stylist what she uses! i have had MANY flat irons, my latest IS chi and it is the BEST by FAR. and it came in a pretty purple color. :-)

I bet the reason your old ones sucked are because they did not have ceramic plates. Ceramic plates are not only better for your hair then just metal ones or even ceramic coated ones, then get your hair straighter and it lasts for longer. CHI is what alot of salons use, but i dont like it based on the price and my experience with them. I have a sedu and I love it. My friend has a solia and that works well for her and is slightly less than the sedu. I had a HAI before, but cord broke very easily in less than a year. (DO NOT GET ONE).

i work for a beauty supply distributor and i sell different brands of straighteners such as CHI, HAI, Babyliss, HOT Tools and Cricket. here is my opinion: CHI irons have been coming out defective lately and i have a hard time returning them for replacement and they also dont have a temp control.

Babyliss just plain suck, all conair products we have ever sold have been poor quality.

the two best we sell and have great warranty is the HAI and Cricket

HAI have a temp Control on them, you dont need so much heat if your hair isnt thick/coarse. the convertable is the best seller at 109.95

Cricket is great for its price, they have full ceramic plates, not ceramic coated and we sell them for around 55.00. ive only had about 4 come defective within the past year out of the hundred or so we have sold.

by the way all the irons i mentioned are ceramic flat irons.

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons, including Sedu, HAI, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss GHD, T3, Kenta etc.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, GHD. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: CHI, HAI, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Worst: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

sedu. i like that they are bigger, they heat up in about 30 seconds, it shows you when its ready, gets your hair straight FAST. its just great. my friend has a chi which i use when im at her house, but it pulls my hair, and its not as fast. idk about ghd, i wanna try one though.

Best straightener is one pure ceramic...it not only works well but it also protects your hair and makes it shiny....THE TRICK THOUGH IS NOT JUST THE STRAIGHTENER...use must have a good shampoo and conditioner....blow dry your hair before straightening it...and brushing the hair down with a diffuser attachment while blow drying. Then use a light heat protectant on your hair before using the straightener.

When you are all done straightening your hair, use REDKEN hair spray and squirt a small amount all over your hair (avoid spraying your scalp or it will get greasy).

hey. i recomend you buy ghd or fhi these are the best straightners i have ever used i love them both they are th same really and they keep your hair poker straight and shinny. i have used the other ones befor and i thick they are rubbish after bour 2 hours my hair was going wavey again.so stick to ghd or fhi

Sometimes it is a matter of trial and error. One straightener that works for one person might not work for another. Depends on the texture of your hair. If you are not sure then ask a professional that works in the store. You might want to invest in a little more expensive one too. If you use it a lot it will work longer. I have very coarse hair so i need very smooth plates or they make my hair worse.

i have one and its amazing. it heats up in less than a minute, and even though theres only one heat setting, its perfect.

it doesn't fry your hair and it straightens REALLY curly hair too.

and if your hair is already naturally straight, its good for when you have the little flyaways and bed head. sometimes if i don't have time to take a shower in the morning, and my hair is kinda messy i just straighten it.

I LOVE MY CHI. its definitely the best.

Your straightener is pretty much top-of-the-line. I've heard of a Maxiglide hair straightener that might be better than the CHI but you may also consider changing your routine, like adding shine serum or protective hair products to alter your style. Good luck! ;)

I also have a Chi Turbo, and I've had it since I was in 8th grade. (About 4 years ago.)

I love it so much! My friends all have hair straighteners, but they don't work nearly as well.

omg don't use hairspray and gel!!! it dries your hair out like you wouldn't believe and will give you build up bad!

get a flat iron and some glossy aloe oil from Sally's (about 8bucks)

I have natural ringlets and when I feel like a straight hair day that's what I use, doesn't dry my hair out. The oil is the only product you will need. It doesn't dry your hair out, but don't go overboard with it, unless you like greasy hair. Just a pea drop is what you need.
