Need hair advice.....?

I just had my haircut yesterday It is long with long layers and sideswept bangs that are just past my right eye. I have long, thick, dirty blond hair that is naturally wavy-curly, but I straighten it. I have an oval face. Every day I wear it down, straightened, exactly the same. I need some new ways to do my hair. I have Babyliss hot rollers, a Chi straightener, a blow dryer with a diffuser, various clips and brushes. Any ideas of a cute way to do my hair would be great. I have a hard time putting it up in a cute messy bun or anything. I also want to know how to curl my hair, or make my natural wavy-curly hair look good.

ok first grab hair from ur hair line that is just abouve ur eyes. the even it out. pull it back and flatten it aginst the top of ur head and stick a clip through it. once u get used to it is fast and easy!

Personally,i use an "izzy moulinex" ceramic straightener,but i'm dying to get my hands on a Farouk straightener!

Another one is Belissima by Imetec(or imatec sth like that).

I haven't tried it,but a friend of mine with thick afro hair found it godsend!It has something like steam and something like crystals that straighten your hair in half the time.

I got my Solia a few years back, it worked great for my hair (and my sister's hair too). Last August my sister went to a college in california, she took the Solia with her. Initially I wanted another Solia, but Jonna (my hair stylist) convinced me to get a Sedu. I did. Like Jonna said, Sedu is the best.

Now they have 2008 model (Sedu Revolution) , i can't wait to try it!

As a stylist, I have used a lot of flat irons/hair straighteners, including Sedu, Hai, Infrashine, Chi, Paul Mitchell, Solia, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss Ghd, T3, Kenta etc. You should get a Professional hair straightener, they style much better and faster, and most importantly, they protect your hair.

In terms of performance:

The best ones are: Sedu, Kenta, Solia, Infrashine, Ghd. These are top of the line professional brands

Above average: Chi, Hai, Paul Mitchell,

Average: T3, Big Sexy, Andis, Babyliss

Below Average: Conair, Vidal Sassoon, Revlon, Bed Head etc. These are cheap consumer brands that you will find in drugstore. If you care about your hair, do NOT buy them.

It really does depend on your hair type.. if it's super curly like mine, then the cheap ones never worked well and i invested in a chi. But if you want one in the 30-70 dollar range, helen of troy and revlon were good brands to try out, they didn't damage my hair.

Chi's do not last long. They break way too easily. Don't waste your money, and don't listen to the one's that are telling you it's the best. Sedu is one of the best straighteners out there and it is only $100.

I would also recommend using a 1 inch instead of 1 1/2 inch, because the 1 1/2 doesn't do curls very well.

It reaches 410 degrees., with tempature control. CHI does not have tempature control. That means if the set tempature is too high for your hair, it can fry.

Celebrities have nice ahir, anf they don't use CHI. They use Sedu. There is something called Sedu hairstyles on every beauty website. No CHI hairstyles right?

I swear by Chi and they last for a long time as long as you don't abuse them. Remember to turn them off when your done, keep them clean and don't drop them.
